Yen Duong is a freelance writer who focuses on health care, math and science. After finishing her Ph.D. in math, she took part in the American Association for the Advancement of Science Mass Media Fellowship, landing her at a local paper for a summer. She lives in Charlotte, N.C. with her spouse and two children, with a third on the way as of this printing time.
